How to Automatically Import Cryptocurrency Trades into CoinTracking

How to Import Cryptocurrency Trades into CoinTracking


Bittrex

Note: Bittrex is only importing trades made in the last 30 days. If you have trades older than thirty days, use the Bittrex CSV Import to supplement.


Step 1: Generate a new API Key and Secret for your Bittrex account.

  1. Log in into your Bittrex account and navigate to Settings -> API Keys.

  2. Create a new Key.

  3. Enable only READ INFO.

  4. Click on Update Keys.

Step 2: Enter the Bittrex job on CoinTracking.

  1. Go to the Bittrex API Import page on CoinTracking.

  2. Enter your API Key.

  3. Insert your Secret.

  4. Select whether you want to check your Bittrex trades automatically or manually.

  5. Select the trade types you want to import.

  6. Enter any relevant optional settings and filters, including a label for future easy sorting and start date.

  7. Select whether you want an email sent to you when a trade takes place.

  8. Start importing!

Bitfinex


Step 1: Generate a new API Key and Secret for your Bitfinex Account.

  1. Log in into your Bitfinex account and navigate to Account -> API.

  2. Create a new Key.

  3. Select all Read boxes. (These should be selected by default.) Do not select any Write boxes.

  4. Label the API Key and generate it.

Step 2: Enter the new automatic Bitfinex job on CoinTracking.

  1. Go to the Bitfinex API Import page on CoinTracking.

  2. Insert your API Key.

  3. Enter Your Secret.

  4. Select whether you want to check your Bitfinex trades automatically or manually.

  5. Select the trade types you want to import.

  6. Enter any relevant optional settings and filters, including label and start date.

  7. Select whether you want an email sent to you when a trade takes place.

  8. Start importing!

Coinbase 


Step 1: Create a new API Key and Secret for your Coinbase account.

  1. Log in into your Coinbase account and navigate to Settings -> API Access.

  2. Click on ‘+ New API Key’ to create a new key.

  3. Enable all accounts you would like to check. (It’s recommended to check them all.)

  4. Enable all checkboxes with a read permission or at least all boxes shown.

Step 2: Enter a new automatic Coinbase job on CoinTracking.

  1. Go to the Coinbase API Import page on CoinTracking.

  2. Enter your API Key.

  3. Insert your Secret.

  4. Select whether you want to check your Coinbase trades automatically or manually.

  5. Select the trade types you want to import.

  6. Enter any relevant optional settings and filters, including label and start date

  7. Select whether you want to include import comments.

  8. Select whether you want an email sent to you when a trade takes place.

  9. Start importing!

Binance 


Step 1: Create a new API Key and Secret for your Binance account.

  1. Log in into your Binance account and navigate to the Security Settings page.

  2. Check only the ‘Read Info’ permission.

  3. Click on ‘API Settings’ and create a new key.

Step 2: Enter a new automatic Binance job on CoinTracking

  1. Go to the Binance API Import page on CoinTracking.

  2. Enter your API Key.

  3. Insert your Secret.

  4. Enter your Binance Trade Pairs. It is important to enter all possible pairs since only those will be imported.

  5. Select whether you want to check your Binance trades automatically or manually.

  6. Select the trade types you want to import.

  7. Enter any relevant optional settings and filters, including label and start date.

  8. Select whether you want an email sent to you when a trade takes place.

  9. Start importing!

Coinbase Pro


Step 1: Create a new API Key and Secret for your Coinbase Pro account.

  1. Log in into your Coinbase Pro account. Hover the navigation icon and click on API.

  2. Enable only View.

  3. Enter cointracking as passphrase.

Step 2: Enter a new automatic Coinbase Pro job on CoinTracking

  1. Go to the Coinbase Pro API Import page on CoinTracking.

  2. Insert your API Key.

  3. Enter your Secret.

  4. Select whether you want to check your Coinbase Pro trades automatically or manually.

  5. Select the trade types you want to import.

  6. Enter any relevant optional settings and filters, including label and start date

  7. Select whether you want an email sent to you when a trade takes place.

  8. Start importing!

Poloniex


Step 1: Create a new API Key and Secret for your Poloniex account.

  1. Log in into your Poloniex account. Select the Settings icon, and click on API KEYS.

  2. Disable both checkboxes Enable Trading and Enable Withdrawals.

  3. Create a new API key for CoinTracking.

Step 2: Enter a new automatic Poloniex job on CoinTracking

  1. Go to the Poloniex API Import page on CoinTracking.

  2. Insert your API Key.

  3. Enter your Secret.

  4. Select whether you want to check your Poloniex trades automatically or manually.

  5. Select the trade types you want to import.

  6. Enter any relevant optional settings and filters, including label and start date

  7. Select whether you want an email sent to you when a trade takes place.

  8. Start importing!

Kraken

Note: Kraken only allows 50 entries per 6 seconds, so the API will only import the last 230 trades in one call. If you have more trades then that, use the Kraken CSV import.


Step 1: Create a new API Key and Private Key for your Kraken account.

  1. Log in into your Kraken account and navigate to Settings -> API.

  2. Create a new key and select in the permissions only Query Ledger Entries Query Funds.

Step 2: Enter a new automatic Kraken job on CoinTracking

  1. Go to the Kraken API Import page on CoinTracking.

  2. Insert your API Key.

  3. Enter Private Key.

  4. Select whether you want to check your Kraken trades automatically or manually.

  5. Select the trade types you want to import.

  6. Enter any relevant optional settings and filters, including label and start date

  7. Select whether you want an email sent to you when a trade takes place.

  8. Start importing!
